PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT OF THE TECHNICIAN DIVISION OF BANKLANG SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, MUEANG DISTRICT, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to; 1) to study the opinion of people towards performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province, 2) to compare the opinion of people towards performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province classified by personal factors, 3) to find out the relationship between Brahmavihãra and performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province. The research was used mixed method research. The populations and samples were selected from people who live in Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province. The samples were 386 people from collecting data by using the formula of Taro Yamane with reliability equal to 95%.

The findings of this research as follows:

   The opinion of people towards performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province was overall in the high level and when considering in each aspect was found that the achievement motivation was in the high level. Followed by understanding of the organization and systems, the adherence to the ethics and accuracy and the teamwork. The average lowest, including service excellence was found that technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality has the ability to solve problems for the people appropriately. Those problems were found, including Banklang sub-district municipality has the machine and the personnel in the people service are not enough. Thus, there should allocate the sufficient budget to the purchase or machine maintenance and ready for use and should allocate budget for adding sufficient personnel to workload.

   The comparison result of the opinion of people towards performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province classified by personal factors, including gender, age, education, occupation and income was found that when compared the opinion of people towards performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality classified by gender, age, education, occupation and income were significant differences at 0.01 levels.

   The relationship between Brahmavihãra and performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province was found that Brahmavihãra had positive relationship with performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province were overall significant differences at 0.01 levels by Brahmavihãra had the relationship in the high level (R = .943**)

   The guideline of Brahmavihãra application in order to performance management of technician division of Banklang sub-district municipality, Mueang district, Lamphun province was found that Mettã should pay attention to the suffering of the people and the training those who have goodwill to habitual others by focusing on common interest. Karuna should show compassion towards the suffering of the people and should provide assistance willingly. Muditã should promote the activity about congratulations those who do benefit to the community as a good model for others followed. And Upekkhã should be neutrality and transparency management, no benefit to the partisan and should use existing resources efficiently.
