Buddhist integration and solving the problem of inequality in Thai society

Abstract

Social inequality is a problem that can be counted as the national agenda of every
country. However, the issue of social inequality is not just one dimension Many Dimensions of
problem. interconnected, and affect each other. Buddhism is a religion of equality. It is a religion
that focuses on equality for all worshipers who come to be a part of the faith. There is no
discrimination in class, caste, occupation, social status, or even race. Everyone in the world can
become a part of Buddhism, so Buddhism has many principles, teachings, and practices that
indicate equality in a society that can help reduce social inequality. This article presents the
context of the disparities in various areas of Thai culture, including income, expenditure,
education, and even public health services. To reflect the state of the problem of inequality in
Thai society that has been faced for a long time. Buddhism has principles in studying the issues
as mentioned above through the method of the Noble Truths Dharma as well as presenting
practices to address social inequality problems.
