Analytical studies of The Great Characteristic of The Budd Appearing in Important Lanna Buddha Image

Abstract

This thesis entitled "Analytical Study of the Great Characteristics in Important Lanna Buddha Image". The objectives of this research are as three follows: 1) to study the Great characteristics of the Buddha in Buddhist scriptures, 2) to study the Buddhist Characteristics of important Buddha image in Lanna, and 3) to analyze the Great Characteristics in important Lanna Buddha image. It was found that the Great Characteristics in important Lanna Buddha image. Most of them do not appear in the Buddha image in Lanna, only some of them appear and there are many things that cannot be observed from the Buddha. The researcher will summarize as follows. The characteristics of the Buddha image in Lanna, including there are long fingers, straight body as the body of Bhahma, all parts of the body as the frontal body of the lion, the back groove equally, the rounded neck and the head is like adorned with the face. The characteristics of important Buddha in Lanna are not appear and in accord with the Great Characteristics that cannot observe, including both sides of the feet sole have the wheel and each bar has one thousand bars, hub of a wheel and all components, the beetling heel, the soft hands and feet.
