A STUDY OF BUDDHISM PROPAGATION IN THAILAND DIGITAL ERA

Abstract

The thesis entitled "A study of buddhism propagation in thailand digital era"has objectives as follows: 1) to study the social environment in the digital era. (2) to study the effects of the digital era on Buddhism. and 3) to present the guidelines of Buddhism propagation that suit for the digital era society by document study and then analyzing. This is a documentary the research. The study found that the social environment of monks in the digital era. monastic organizations should therefore have more monks who study and develop in information technology. By relying on technological prosperity to spread the dharma through the internet or other channels. The impact of information technology on Buddhism found both positive and negative impacts. The positive impacts are thai monks have improved learning achievement in Pali and ordinary. have spread Buddhism both in Thailand and abroad in digital media channels. allowing more youth to study Buddhism in multimedia systems. and informing the ecclesiastical news faster in the digital channel. The negative results are the unreasonable use of monks and novices to share images. post bad image. resulting in the decline of faith in Buddhism Monks do not know how to divide their time in the elimination of desires and the practice of monasticism. And the effect of preserving the discipline of using social media in areas that are harmful to monk status. The guidelines for appropriate Buddhism propagation that in the digital era society. is to propagate in various media channels such as Facebook. Line. Youtube and website (www.).
