PUBLIC OPINION TOWARDS PUBLIC CHARITY PERFORMANCE ACCORDING TO IDDHIBÃDA PRINCIPLE OF LAMPHUN RED CROSS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of public opinion in
the public charity work of the Red Cross Society in Lamphun Province 2) to compare
the opinion of the people in the public charity operation of the Red Cross Society in
Lamphun Province 3) to propose Guidelines for developing efficiency in public charity
work according to the virtues of the Red Cross. Lamphun Province The researcher used
mixed methods research (Mixed Methods) as a separate quantitative research method.
The population consisted of 58.139 people living in Mueang District.Lamphun Province.
from which 395 people were sampled by data collection by means of handing out
questionnaires. and qualitative research by collecting data by interviewing 10 key
informants or people using a content analysis method.
The results showed that 1. The level of public opinion in the public charity
work of the Red Cross. Lamphun Province Overall. it was found that at a high level
(x̅ = 3.90. S.D. = 0.781) Overall. classified by gender. age. educational level. status.
occupation. income in all aspects were not different. therefore reject the research
hypothesis 3. Approaches to develop efficiency in public charity work according to the
virtues of the Red Cross. Lamphun Province found that The satisfaction aspect is the
creation of awareness of the roles and duties that are important to society. Indomitable
persistence.not afraid of obstacles is clearly setting goals for charitable activities. Chitta
intention is to motivate work to stimulate attention in the performance of duties.
