Public Online Media: Benefits or Hazard according to the Buddhist Perspective

Abstract

The focus of this academic article is the area of Public Online Media: Benefits or Hazard according to the Buddhist Perspective. There were 3 objectives of this article:- 1 (to study the background of public Online Media 2( to study Benefits or Hazard in the perspective of Buddhism and 3( to study the guidelines to solve the problem of hazard of the public Online Media in the perspective of Buddhism. The findings from this article provide evidence that in nowadays, social network has become an important role for Thai people of all levels and also all genders of all ages. Moreover, the uses of public social network has many impacts, that is; the role of social network gets involved more and more in people's daily lives. But, somehow, there might be changes in the types of social network according to the popularity of the users and also the advancement of the information and communications technology. Social network has its own benefit and hazard which has both positive and negative impacts to the social, economic, computer crimes and stability of the nation .In the perspective of Buddhism, this makes it easy to understand the way people communicate by speaking, similar to the model of the Western scholar named Berol 1960 which stated that the process of human communication consisted of 4 components; they are the sender, the message, the channel and the receiver or we call it S-M-C-R Model. Which regard to the communication in perspective of Buddhism, the process of communication, the principle of speaking, the principle of listening, the principle of the screening information and the principle of personnel analysis are all great principles to create such effective communication .Communication in perspective of Buddhism, also cover the ethics for communication and it could enhance people to have intellectual ability and also have the principle for receiving information as well. Moreover, it helps people to have good relationships with others and it helps people in every level of family, community, country and even the world to live together in society peacefully in the world
