THE ROLE OF LOCAL POLITICIANS TOWARDS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN WANG THONG SUB-DISTRIC, MUANG PHRAE DISTRIC, PHRAE PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this article were as follows: to study the level of political (1)To study
the level of roles of local politicians in community development, Wang Thong Subdistrict,
Mueang District, Phrae Province (2)To study the relationship between the 4 principles of
Bhavana of local politicians in community development, Wang Thong Subdistrict, Mueang
District, Phrae Province (3) to study problems and obstacles and recommendations on the
role of local politicians in community development in Wang Thong Sub-district, Muang
District, Phrae Province. This research is a Mixed methods research, including quantitative
research using exploratory research methods from the questionnaire distribution with
384 people. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard

deviation and the Pearson correlation coefficient and qualitative research using in-
depth interview with key Informants 9 people, analyze key informant interviews by

using content analysis techniques for context. The research results were found as
follows;
1) The overall level of roles of local politicians towards community development
in Wang Thong Sub-district, Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province, in all 4 aspects,
overall were at a high level (x̅ = 3.61)
2 ) Principles of Phawana 4 and the role of local politicians in community
development in Wang Thong Sub-district, Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province overall,
had a very high positive correlation (r = .894**).
3) Problems and obstacles related to the role of local politicians in community
development in Wang Thong Sub-district, Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province found
that there was still a lack of participation of the people in issuing rules and regulations
to maintain peace within the community. Lack of budget support in organizing activities
to improve people's quality of life within the community. provide budget support
People should attend meetings about issuing regulations. and campaigning to instill
morals and ethics among youth in the community
