POLITICAL PARTICIPATORY ELECTION PROMOTION PROCESS IN ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHRAE PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION COUNCIL OF THE PEOPLE IN HUAI MAI SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, SONG DISTRICT, PHRAE PROVINCE

Abstract

This Article aimed to study ( 1 ) to study the level of the political participatory
election promotion process in the election of members of the Parliament of the
People's Prefectural Administrative Organization in Huay Mai Sub-district Municipality,
Song District, Phrae Province. (2 ) to study the relationship between the principle of
Sāraṇīyadhamma 6 and the process of promoting political participatory elections in
the election of members of the Para administrative body of the people in Huay Mai
Sub-district Municipality, Song District, Phrae Province. (3 ) To study the problems of
barriers, and suggestions of the process of promoting political participation in the
election of members of the Council of People's Prefectural Administration in Huay Mai
Sub-district Municipality, Song District, Phrae Province. This research is a Mixed methods
research, including quantitative research using exploratory research methods, and
qualitative research using in-depth interview methods. The research results were found
as follows;
1 ) The level of the political participatory election promotion process for the
election of members of the Council of the People's Prefectural Administration in Huai
Mai Sub-district Municipality, Song District, Phrae Province, with the overall being very
high (x̅ = 3.84).
2) The principle of Sāraṇīyadhamma 6 with the process of promoting political
participatory election in the election of members of the council of the Phrae Provincial
Administrative Organization of the people in Huay Mai Sub-district Municipality, Song
District, Phrae Province, has a relatively high positive correlation
(r = .631**).
3 ) The obstacle problem was found that local governments did not have
enough officials with citizens who came to exercise their right to vote in the situation
of the spread of the 2019 Corona virus infectious disease, and citizens also lacked
participation in the public relations assistance campaign. Suggestion. It was found that
citizens' understanding of elections should be encouraged, citizens should be actively
involved in the election process within the community, and local governments should
be sincere in offering election information.
