DHARMA PRINCIPLES FOR MENTAL THERAPY FOR DEPRESSION IN TODAY'S SOCIETY

Abstract
This academic article aims to study the principles of mental therapy for
depression in society today. It was found that depression refers to a mental state that
manifests emotional disorders such as unhappy mood, boredom, depression,
discouragement, hopelessness, and lethargy. Drowsiness, insomnia, loss of appetite,
lack of concentration, anxiety, pessimism. The disease can range from simple
depression to severe depression. which depression is a mental disorder No satisfaction
in activities you used to enjoy It negatively affects quality of life and can eventually
lead to suicide. in medicine and in Buddhism The concept of depression is a psychiatric
disorder. It can be caused by both physical and mental.
Dharma principles for mental healing against depression in today's society as
a result of Buddhist implications from Nerona 5, namely Kamchan Phayabat,
Thinamittha, Uthachakukkutcha, and Wichikitcha. It has a beneficial effect on healing
or treatment and also prevents the occurrence of 4 types of depression, namely the
application of (1) the principle of meditation, (2) the trilak principle, (3) the paratogosa
principle, and (4) the principle. be mindful These four principles of practice are very
supportive in solving the problem of depression in today's world. both directly to the
patient and to Buddhists who are interested in creating a deep body of knowledge in
the application and practice of dharma
