DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE COURSE FOR TEMPLE WARDENS (LEADERS OF CEREMONIES) WITH THE CO-OPERATION OF NETWORK MEMBERS IN CHIANG RAI PROVINCE

Abstract

This material has objectives to 1) study the knowledge, texts and rituals
(religious ceremony) of the liaison (Makkanayok) and network associates in Chiang Rai
Province, 2) develop the knowledge set for the liaison (Makkanayok) course (Poo Chan)
with the participation of network partners in Chiang Rai Province and 3) to analyze and
apply the knowledge set of the liaison (Makkanayok) course (Poo Chan) in the religious
ceremony of Chiang Rai. This is the qualitative research. The research result was found as
follows;
1) The knowledge, texts and rituals (religious ceremony) of the liaison
(Makkanayok) and network associates in Chiang Rai Province was found that there were
introductory manuals of religious ceremony and guideline for the liaison (Makkanayok),
including the creation of body of knowledge, texts and the rituals for the liaison
(Makkanayok).
2) The developing of the knowledge set for the liaison (Makkanayok) course
(Poo Chan) with the participation of network partners in Chiang Rai Province, the
participation process was that the development was done through the integration of
the central region and the Lanna style to be in the model of same or similar practice.
3) Analyze and apply the knowledge set of the liaison (Makkanayok) course
(Poo Chan) in the religious ceremony of Chiang Rai, there was a pattern of creating a
network of the liaison (Makkanayok) and there is a process of building a network of
the liaison (Makkanayok), as well as applying the knowledge of the the liaison
(Makkanayok) course (Poo Chan) to apply in the rituals (religious ceremony) of Chiang
Rai Province.
