DEVELOPING A MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE MAE-LAO DAIRY CO-OPERATIVE LTD., CHIANG RAI ON THE BASIS OF A BUDDHIST INTEGRATIVE

Abstract

This paper has objectives to 1) study the management of Maelao Dairy
Cooperatives Ltd., Chiang Rai Province, 2) study the development of Maelao Dairy
Cooperative Ltd., Chiang Rai Province according to Buddhism principles and 3) to analyze
the management model of the Maelao Dairy Cooperative Ltd., with a Buddhist integration.
This is the qualitative research through data collecting tools as document and interviewing.
The research result was found that;

1) the management of Maelao Dairy Cooperatives Ltd., Chiang Rai Province, the
management process started from purchasing raw milk from members with necessary to
analyze standard of criteria and quality, in order to go well with selling process to partners
of the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand by sending them to the lower
northern group, which is Sukhothai Province.
2) the development of Maelao Dairy Cooperatives Ltd., Chiang Rai Province
according to Buddhism was through the following Buddhism Dharmas:
Tosaphitharathamma, Honesty 3(Sucharit3), Sangkhahavatu 4, Brahmawihan 4, Power
and Potency (Itthibath), 4 Dharma principles concerning non-violence and 5 precepts.
3) The analysis of the management model of Maelao Dairy Cooperatives Co.,
Ltd. based on Buddhist integration were as follows; aspects of food production,
welfare arrangement, promoting dairy cattle raising and building a network of
integrated Buddhist partners.
