The Behavioral Influence of Kruba Srivichai towards Northern Thai society

Abstract

Kruba Chao Srivichai was a monk who influenced the practice of Northern 
Thai Buddhists since he was alive as far as Kruba Chao Srivichai passed away on 
February 21, 1938 at Wat Ban Pang, Lamphun Province. At present, March 2023, it is 
for 86 years. However, the influence of trail of his conduct remained that affected 
the behavior in compliance or following the path of Kruba Chao Srivichai until now, 
as follows: 
1) The influence on abstaining from having meat 
2) The nfluence on building and renovating the monastery 
3) The influence on practicing Vipassana Meditation  
4) The influence on training of the people’s faith for adhering to morality 
5) The influence on preaching along with Buddhism propagation by Dhutanga 
The above 5 influences made Thai Buddhists in the Northern, they gave 
importance and focused on conducting themselves properly towards all teachings 
that Kruba Chao Srivijaya taught firmly. It also has driven and pushed his work to be 
raised as an important person in the world by a group of people who still regard the 
virtues of him who inscribed in northern Thai society.
