PROMOTION OF PEOPLE PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELDERLY'S QUALITY OF LIFE IN SI BUA BAN SUBDISTRICTMUNICIPALITY. MUANG DISTRICT. LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aims to 1) To study the level of participation in improving 
the quality of life of the elderly in Sri Bua Ban Subdistrict Municipality. 2) To compare 
the participation in developing the quality of life of the elderly of Sri Bua Ban Subdistrict 
Municipality. Classified by personal factors 3) To present guidelines for promoting 
people's participation in the development of the quality of life for the elderly according 
to the principles of Apariha Nidhamma of Sri Bua Ban Subdistrict Municipality. Use the 
integrated research methodology. by quantitative research methodology There were a 
sample of 379 people. Data were collected by using a questionnaire. and qualitative 
research Data were collected by interviewing 10 key informants or people. 

The results showed that 

1. The level of opinions about participation in the development of the 
quality of life of the elderly of the municipality. Sri Bua Ban Subdistrict Mueang 
Lamphun District. Lamphun Province. the overall level is high  
2. The results of comparing the level of opinions about the participation in 
the development of the quality of life of the elderly of Sri Bua Ban Subdistrict 
Municipality. The overall picture classified by occupation was different at the statistical 
significance level of 0.05. Therefore. the research hypothesis was accepted. Other 
aspects are not different. Therefore. the research hypothesis was rejected. 
3. Guidelines for promoting people's participation in the development of the 
quality of life for the elderly according to the principle of Aparihani Dharma of Sri Bua 
Ban Subdistrict Municipality. it was found that regular meetings Collaboration with the 
community creating a mutual agreement Supporting the role of scholars in the community Opportunities for housewives and youth in the community Using the 
temple area to link activities of the elderly in the community Promoting the role of 
monks in the community
