The Strengthen Process of Pakayor Weaving Group in Thung Hua Chang District, Lamphun Province

Abstract

The objectives of the thesis entitled “The Strengthen Process of Pakayor Weaving Group of Thung Hua Chang District, Lamphun Province” were as follows: 1) to integrate the Buddhamma principles in the strengthen process of Pakayor weaving group in Thung Hua Chang district, Lamphun province, 2) to study the strengthen process of Pakayor weaving group in Thung Hua Chang district, Lamphun province, and 3) to find out the guidelines of strengthen process of Pakayor weaving group in Thung Hua Chang district, Lamphun province. This research was conducted by using the qualitative research methodology and the data collected by using in-depth interview. The researcher interviewed 15 people with the key of informants, namely the first group was 2 Buddhist scholars, the second group was 5 Local leaders and public officials in the area, and the third group was 9 weaving group members.

The findings of this research as follows:

   The integration of Sappurisa-dhamma principles in the strengthen process of Pakayor weaving group that can integrate by using the principles as follows: (1) Dhammannuta recognizes to the reason for the strengthening of weaving group that knows cause and problem analysis to strengthen. (2) Atthannuta recognizes to the result of the strengthen to weaving group such as there is good participation management of community and making achievement of weaving group for the common interest, (3) Attannuta recognizes to the uniqueness of weaving group, culture in the profession, Their own abilities for helping the strengthen of weaving group. (4) Mattannuta recognizes about the use of resources both human resource and material resource that the management of weaving group used as necessary and importance from most to least, respectively. (5) Kalannuta recognizes the community and the time to prepare activity of Pakayor weaving group that the community has a need for professional any time and, they can participate the activity of weaving group any time. (6) Purisannuta recognizes about culture and environment condition of positive community and strengthening participation of weaving group. (7) Puggalannuta recognizes to individuals who have the knowledge and the ability to lead the organization, and can help strengthen of the group.

   The strengthen process of Pakayor weaving group were 4 aspects as follows: (1) the conservation of cultural dress is the conservation and the cultural dress that is the identity of the Pakayor tribe because caused of cultural love and cherish, including there can make community strengthening and group harmony. (2) the community environment of Pakayor weaving group that used the natural products as raw materials in the production by the products in the area of the community, then made the environment conservation and good ecology to the community. (3) the budget community received from related government and community. The budgets have to use no more than necessary by bring sufficient economy in application, namely middle way, reason and good self-immunity. (4) the traditional values of community inherited from generation to generation when followed the strengthen community by not hurting others, living in society and helping each other.

   The strengthen guidelines of Pakayor weaving group, besides the cultural dress conservation and other cultures of the Karen tribe should bring about to propagate to the outsider In order to conserve the tradition and remain with the community forever.
