The Characteristics of Professional Teacher for Developing Thai Education in Modern Times

Abstract

Thai education in modern times is currently in crisis, it causes intellectual crisis then leading to the national crisis. To solve the crisis must do many sides both protection the intellectual strategies and the educationdevelopment for intellectual strength by all sides and immediately. The educationdevelopment is an urgent agenda of the nation and the key issues that need to be developed, including the ineffective education management. At present, there are centralized administration, redundant organization, none policy unity and low-resource efficiency standards, the lack of opportunities for all parties to participate, so, don't have good people to be good teachers. Society is the lack of faith and confidence in the teaching profession, the lack of continuouspolicydevelopment, and the lack of Information Technology Infrastructure in order to access learning resources, the lack of links with local and community organizations. And the most important problem is the teaching and learning this is partly due to the quality and efficiency of the teacher. If considered in the overall that is found that teachers currently have three main problems, including the quality of teaching and learning, the debt and the lack of teachers to accumulate, especially in the major fields. Thus, the teachers are considered as the main factors in the development of Thai education.
