A study in Law of Kamma appearing in Phra Mālaya

Abstract
The objectives of this research are; - (1) to study of law of kamma in Buddhism, (2) to
study of law of kamma in Phra Mālaya and (3) to study of way for application of law of kamma
in Phra Mālaya. It is researched by document research. This is studied in the first primary source,
the secondary sources and research reports. The data is kept by study, research and review in
idea. Its analytics is in the form of description. The plan of research focusing on the issues, how to
study and income. The plan and communication in the form of printing in journal or poster.
The result of study in the first objective is found that Kamma and law of Kamma is
justice for all. All animals are kamma as heir, kamma as origin, The kamma as race, The kamma
as refuge. The Kamma makes bad and nice people. Any one gets same seed of that seed (good is
took by good action). Any one conducts in physical, verbal, mental action, bad view and invites
others in same wrong way. He, after death, goes to vice land. Moreover, someone is short age
because of killing animal without compassion, someone is much disease because of harmfulness,
someone is little asset because of not to give to monk or prāhman, someone is low family
because of hard and be too proud, someone is fool because of not to seek knowledge from wise
man.
The result of study in the second objective is found that Phra Mālaya is known from
Phra Mālayathera staying at Kampojha, Lankatīpa. He is miracle and high knowledge. He can go
to hell by his own miracle. He brings sadness in hell for telling to relatives in this world being
happy or sad or hungry in the hell. In which, there are 8 big abysses named –sanjīva, Kaḷasuta,
Saṅghata, Roruva, Mahāroruva, Tāpana, Mahātāpana and Avejī. The hell is surrounded by
direction of 4 abysses, 10 small abysses of hell, external hell in 10 abysses and the cause of
animal suffers in hell from the Yomarāja as the master in hell.
The result of study in the third objective is found that Thai customs;- Loy kratong is
regarded as worship and apology to the god of river. The Songkran is a main virtue in
garatefulness to the parent as Prahma being leaded in high position. The custom of becoming
monk for the gratefulness to the parent. The custom of coconut water for performance of the
funeral bathing ceremony at dead man for purification of his mind. Not to be abortion for not to
do sin in killing of man. Conscience as Buddhist who makes merit, removing of kamma by illegal,
avoiding a bad action, to do charity, sacrifice, not to do support in to do all vices. The example
persons suffer in the bad action i.e.(1) Moggallāna thera is killed because of the past action from
killing the his own parent who is blind eyes. (2) Cakkhupāla thera, his eyes are blind because of
bad action in the past time he who gives poison to an old girl for dropping her eyes because of
fearing in her cheat from to be his servant and then her eyes are blind. (3) Jūlapanthaka, his is
stupid because of his bad verbal action in the past, he says in unsuitable speech, in bad, hard
speech to someone learning Dhamma.
