The Guidelines for Career Development of Women in Man Khong Village, Tom Sup-district, Mueang District, Phayao Province

Abstract

This research is to study the problems and obstacles in the occupation, to study the profession that needs to be developed, and to propose the guidelines for career development of women in Man Khong, Tom sub-district, Muang district, Phayao Province. This study is a qualitative research based on in-depth interviews and the researcher selected 10 interviewees. It was found that 1. The problems and obstacles of women's career in Man Khong, Tom sub-district, Muang district, Phayao Province, including the lack of educational knowledge, the shouldering of children and homes, the lack of investment in occupation and the lack of management knowledge. 2. The career needs to develop of women in Man Khong village those are the production of household products, growing vegetables and organic garden, sewing, sewing the bag and utensils that made from fabric, cooking, food processing and dessert, basketry, fish farming, frog farming. 3. The guidelines for career development of women in Man Khong, Tom sub-district, Muang district, Phayao Province should be proceeded through various approaches, including to assess the problems and obstacles to current occupation of women, understanding the need to career development of women, collecting the number of members who need professional development, provide the source of funding for career development projects, short-term vocational training, the practice of the entire occupations, Loan Fund source in order to help to start the business of women, production control, provide the place for selling products, manage career development system in succession and evaluate the project.
