AN ANALYSIS OF BUDDHADHAMMA IN CHANGING CLOTH TRADITION OF KRUBA CHAYAWONGSA PHATTHANA WAT PHRA PHUTTHABAT HUAI TOM. LI DISTRICT. LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research entitled has the objectives as follows:  1) to study the tradition of changing 
clothes of senior  monks who died in Lanna.  2) to explore the principles of Buddhadhamma and 
3) to analyze the principles of Buddhadhamma in the tradition of changing cloth of Kruba 
Chaiyawongsa Phatthana  of Ban Huai Tom community. Li district. Lamphun province.  This study is a qualitative research. The findings of this research as follows: 1) The tradition of changing 
clothes of senior monks who died in Lanna found that. in the past. there was no written evidence 
that there was kept the body senior monks and expected that keeping body occurred during the 
year 1977. 2) The principles of Buddhadhamma in the tradition of changing cloth. including (1) the 
principle of faith (2) the principle of fellowship (3) the principle of gratitude (4) the principle of 
charity (5) the principle of Worship 3) An analysis of Buddhadhamma principles in changing cloth 
tradition found that (1)  the principle of faith is to indicate the faith towards Kruba Chaiyawongsa 
phathana. (2) The principle of fellowship is to show the unity. solidarity. (3) The principle of 
gratitude is to express the gratitude to the people who are the senior monks. (4) The principle of 
charity is to give through money. possessions  belongings. (5) the principle of worship including 
Āmisa-püjã is the worship with objects. and Dhamma- püjã is the worship with Dhamma. 
including that is to follow the teachings there are to chant. pay respect to Buddha image.
