POLITICAL PARTICIPATION BEHAVIOR IN ELECTION THE MEMBERS OF PHRAE PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION COUNCIL MEMBERS IN THUNGNAO SUB-DISTRICT, SONG DISTRICT, PHRAE PROVINCE

Abstract

This Article aimed to study (1 ) to study the level of political participation
behavior of the people in the election of members of the Phrae administrative
organization council in Tung Nao Sub-district, Song District, Phrae Province (2) to study
the relationship between the principle of Aparihāniyadhamma 7 and the political
participation behavior of the people in the election of members of the Phrae
administrative organization council in Tung Nao Sub-district, Song District, Phrae
Province (3) to study the problems of obstacles, and suggestions on the behavior of
the people's political participation in the election of members of the Parliament of the
Provincial Administrative Organization Phrae in Tung Nao Sub-district, Song District,
Phrae Province. This research is a Mixed methods research, including quantitative
research using exploratory research methods from the questionnaire distribution with
352 people. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard
deviation and the Pearson correlation coefficient and qualitative research using in-
depth interview with key Informants 13 people, analyze key informant interviews by
using content analysis techniques for context. The research results were found as
follows;
1) The level of political participation behavior of the people in the election of
members of the Phrae administrative organization council in Tung Nao Sub-district,
Song District, Phrae Province, with the overall being very high (x̅ = 3.69).
2) The relationship between the principle of Aparihāniyadhamma 7 and the
political participation behavior of the people in the election of members of the Phrae
administrative organization council in Tung Nao Sub-district, Song District, Phrae
Province, overall, has a relatively small positive correlation (r = .233**).
3) The problem of obstacles was found that as the spread of the 2019 Corona
virus infection disease caused inconvenience in exercising voting rights, the availability
of polling agencies, public relations were not clear, suggestions were made. It was
found that it should be publicized through online media explaining about the
procedures for exercising voting rights in accordance with the measures to prevent the
spread of the Corona virus infection disease 2019 and that a virtual video of actual
