Abstract

This academic article aims to explore the ethical teachings within human

ethics in the context of human society. Ethics serves as the guiding principle of

behavior and conduct that pertains to human life shared within society. Humans

engage in relationships and operate within various organizational structures. As social

beings. humans communicate and interact with one another. To achieve happiness

within society. individuals must exhibit qualities of good conduct. virtue. morality.

ethics. compassion. and adhere to moral principles in their lives. This ethics study

delves into the values of behavior and the value of human life. Ethics seeks to

address questions such as what is good. what is evil. what is right. what is wrong.

whether there are measures or standards to gauge or judge what is good and what is

bad. what is right and what is wrong. and what constitutes a good life. What is the

highest good for humanity. This article aims to inform and demonstrate the ethical

value inherent in the ethical teachings derived from the speeches of Phra Kru Basri

Wichai. a revered figure in sustainable development and in the development of the

mind related to fostering public faith. He is often referred to as the "Saint of a Million

Thai Rice Fields." As articulated in his speeches. Phra Kru Basri Wichai emphasized the

importance of virtue as a fundamental principle. He believed that adhering to the

Five Precepts would help create a peaceful and happy society without turmoil or

agitation. In Phra Kru Basri Wichai's moral scripture. the Five Precepts are described as

spiritual treasures. sacred waters for purifying sins. and a ladder of crystal for

ascending to heaven.
