THE EFFICIENCY OF PUBLIC SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SANGAHAVATTHU DHAMMA OF TONTONG SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, MUEANGLAMPHUN DISTRICT, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province 2) compare with the opinion about the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province separates to follow personal factors 3) study problem obstacles and the correct trends for the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province, and 4) study the application for efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province. The research used a variety of methods which were carried out using quantitative research. The sample population for this study was 191 people of Tontong Sub-district Municipality’s service users was selected at random using an easy sample model and qualitative research. More detailed information was gathered using an in-depth interview with key interviewees. The results showed that:

   Public service users had the opinion that the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province. The public service satisfaction overall was high (X = 3.79) and when considered each aspect, found that the public service users had level the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province, at a high level on all sides.

   The comparison results for the opinion level about the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province, by personal factors sex and age was no different, however education and career were found to be different.

   The problem, obstacle and the suggestion about the efficiency of public service in accordance with Sangahavatthu Dhamma of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province, found that, Dàna about having newspaper, magazine and the drinking water for service users was inadequate with services offered on official day hours only. Piyavàcà: officers did not smile and used impolite speech. Sometimes an officer refused to listen to the opinion of service users. Atthacariyà: officers are unenthusiastic and had no set time standard for service. Samànattatà: service was irregular, there was no flexibility and dress was inappropriate.

   The application of Sangahavatthu Dhamma public service for the efficiency of Tontong Sub-district Municipality, Mueanglamphun District, Lamphun Province. The results using qualitative research found that the informant data emphasizes about the awareness in work practice with the emphasis on being service minded, serve with equality, do not choose minister and impressing the service users were the most important factors.
