THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE ACCORDING TO SANGAHAVATTHU DHAMMA OF SRITIA SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, BANHONG DISTRICT , LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to examine the personal factor of respondents. 2) to find out the opinion of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthu IV of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province. 3) to compare the opinion level of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthu IV of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province classified by personal factors. 4) to investigate the development guidelines in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthu IV of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province. The study was a mixed method research by quantitative research that was survey research. The samples used in this study were 361 people who live in Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province by simple random sampling and qualitative research by using in-depth interview and the key informants. Data was collected by the questionnaire and the interview and the analysis of data have been done by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, in the case of two groups of independent variable and F-test by one way analysis for variance (One-way ANOVA), ware analyzed using content analysis (Content Analysis Technique).

The findings of this research were found as follows:

   The opinion level of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthu IV of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province was overall at the high level (X = 4.04). When considering in each aspect, it was found that the people opinion in the emergency medical services of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province was at high level in all aspects.

   The result of testing the hypothesis was found that personal factors, including gender, age, education, occupation and income towards the opinion of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province were not different and age, education towards the opinion of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province were significant differences at 0.01 level, then accepted the hypothesis.

   The problems, obstacles and the suggestions about the opinion of people in the emergency medical services according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province, it was found that Dāna (generosity): the officer operated by unwillingness and would like to have knowledgeable person, ability to work. Piyavācā (kindly speech): the officer spoke to service recipients to feel sad and should speak console and smile. Atthacariyā (useful conduct): the officer did not have a good conscious mind to services and should train and develop skills to work. Samānattatā (even equal treatment): that could not be contacted in times of emergency timely and communication should improve communication system for better and adding channel communication.

   The result of qualitative study was found that the key of informant, most of them focused on the awareness in working with volunteers, supporting each other, courtesy, equality, non-discrimination for satisfying, impressing, faithfulness to people service. Therefore, Sritia sub-district municipality, Banhong district, Lamphun province should promote the learning and cultivate the working by using Sangahavatthudhamma in four aspects; the good example to followers, people in the area and community, creating awareness training for all personnels, realize to good communication both speaking, expression and various media, strengthening work with volunteers, help community or people more and more and making awareness to personal in working participation with equality, equitable, non-discrimination and posing in position who service provider to people.
