THE EXPECTED AND TRUE ROLE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF KOH SUB– DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY IN LI DISTRICT, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the expected and true role in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province along people’s opinion, 2) to compare the expected and true role in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province along people’s opinion, 3) to find out the problems, obstacles and suggestions in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province along people’s opinion, and 4) to investigate the guideline of problems, obstacles and suggestions in administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma of according to Aparihaniyadhamma in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province for knowing the people needs and the people participated in services of various aspects with Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province.

The research used mixed method research both quantitative research and survey research. The samples were 4 villages and 15 year old upward, selected from people who live in Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province by the methodology used R.V. Krejcie & Morgan formula from 2,434 people in all populations. A sample was selected from 335 persons.

The findings of this research as follows:

   The expected role in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province along people’s opinion in the 6 of main work was overall the high level with the mean equal to 4.42. When considering in each aspect, it was at the high level in all aspects and the true role of people towards administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province in the 6 of main work was overall at the high level with mean equal to 3.71. When considering in each aspect, it was at the high level in all aspects.

   The comparison of the expected and true role in administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province by testing t-test, including the expected role with mean equal to 4.42 and the true role with mean equal to 3.71 was overall found that no different, then rejected the hypothesis.

   
   


3. 
   

   The problems, obstacles about administration of Koh sub-district municipality, Li district, Lamphun province was found that the lack of a modern water supply system, the roads within the village poor condition, agriculture transportation inconvenience, extending the public electricity of lighting the way was not thorough, concrete roads damaged, an outbreak of dengue fever more and more, lack of adequate living for the elderly, should provide scholarships to poor children, giving objects to prevent cold, workplace was not enough, no water was used in agriculture, no permanent occupation to people.

   The suggestion should build modern public utility system all areas of communication within the adjusting village and connecting with other villages, should build and seek for sufficient water reservoirs in agriculture. The community needs to preserve forests and natural resources and environment, information service thoroughly, promoting people to maintain peace and security of life and property in other side.
