Using Technology and the Propagation of Buddhism in the Digital Era

Abstract

This article is a presentation of using technology in the propagation of Buddhism and to study and to present the method of propagation of Buddhism by using technology. From studies documents and related research work, the result of studies found that teachings of the form of poetry and the development of changes, for example, the recording of the teachings into the sheet of gold or metal in the book. Today, there is a great social change. Technology is a link to make the society narrow. This change in society causes monks to aquire the need to use technology as a tool to propagate Buddhism. Nowadays, we will find the presentation of the Buddha's teachings in a variety of technologies such as Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and internet websites. Buddhist monks must be aware of the use technology to help them work. This is an important evolution of the propagation from the field of creative propaganda.
