The Study of the State and the Problem of Online Learning in New Normal Age

Abstract

This article aimed to study the state of online learning in new normal age.
The population was 250 students of the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The sample was 200 students who registered the online courses in academic year
2021 and consented to give information. The instrument for collecting data was
questionnaire. Analysis data was made by descriptive statistics and content analysis.
The research results were found as follows: 1) the state of online learning. The
devices were the mobile phone, notebook, tablet, and computer. The forms of
platforms were Microsoft Team, Google Meet, Line and Zoom. The ways to send the
assignment were Microsoft Team, Line, Google Classroom, WBSC, Zoom and Google
Meet. The internet networks were TRUEMOVEH, AIS, 3BB, DTAC, TOT; 2) the problem
of online learning was in high level: (1) the internet network was not stable (2) online
learning decreased the capacity in learning (3) online learning increased more
assignment than onsite learning and (4) online learning had the effect to the mental
state of learner. The problem of online teaching was in medium level: (1) teacher did
not have the capacity in transferring the knowledge (2) teacher did not teach towards
the topic (3) teacher was not ready in online teaching (4) teacher did not prepare the
online lesson (5) teacher did not have knowledge in using the educational media (6)
teacher did not have good environment in online teaching.
