THE ROLE OF LOCAL LEADERS TOWARDS THE PROMOTION OF THE VILLAGE OF THE FIVE PRECEPTS PROJECT OF MUANGJEE SUB-DISTRICT, MUANG DISTRICT, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of the thesis entitled “The Role of Local Leaders towards the Promotion of Village of the Five Precepts Project of Muangjee Sub-district, Muang District, Lamphun Province” were as follows: 1) to examine the role of local leaders towards the promotion of village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province, 2) to find out the relation between personal factor and the role of local leaders towards the promoting of the five precepts project, and 3) to investigate the problems and obstacles of local leaders towards the promotion of village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province. 4) to explore the guideline of local leaders towards the promotion of village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province. The research used mixed method research. The
populations and analysis performed by a computer program for social science research and standard deviation: SD and examined the relationship between personal factors by testing the hypothesis with (Chi– Square Test) ( 2  ) there was  statistically
significant at 0.05 level.  In the part of open-ended questions showed the problems, findings were as follows : 1) The role level of the promotion of village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province was overall at the high
level with mean equal to 4.18.
2) The result of testing the hypothesis of relation between personal factor and the role of local leaders towards the promoting of the five precepts project Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province classified by personal factors, it was found that age, education, occupation and income there was relation with the promotion role of village of the five precepts project.
3) The problems and guideline of solving problem about the role of local leaders towards the promotion of village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province was found that the lack of cooperation from the leaders and people of sub-district there was the providing activity for promoting the village of the five precepts project well and participated both the Buddhist monks and the local leaders in operation.
4) The guideline of promoting the village of the five precepts project of Muangjee sub-district, Muang district, Lamphun province was found that the local leaders promoted the people for following the principle of the five precepts and abode in moral that they should always practice for prosperity of our own lives. The five precepts were the basic of good practice for reviewing and applying in daily life.
