Professional teachers and Thai education in the New Normal era

Abstract

A modern education that makes the world and people adapt to reality and a new way of 
life, or New Normal. The phenomenon of COVID-1 9 prevents students from going to school. 
Therefore, when children are learning at home, teachers should use the awareness that arises 
from this situation to design the future of Thai education. Because teaching, which is the primary 
duty of teachers, must play a role that must be changed. Teachers do not have just teaching 
duties, professional teachers must focus on teaching quality. As the teaching quality of teachers is 
beneficial to the students, the assessment of the teachers’ quality is therefore highly appropriate 
to be assessed by the nation's youth and children. As the saying “child quality” reflects “teacher 
quality”, therefore, the characteristics that professional teachers should have and should be must 
focus on basic features as passion, mercy, and friendliness, which is an important fundamental 
quality of teachers and develop the teaching of teachers as well. This is the main task, in particular, teaching with quality, that professional teachers must have virtue leading to teach 
quality and also have a good image.
