The concept of complete life skills development according to Buddhism

Abstract

The study found that recently labor is replacing with technology that helps greatly create jobs and opportunities. It also helps improve the performance. Repetitive tasks will be replaced by machines. The tasks that human do are the tasks that require multi skills and a value added. Therefore, future workers must prepare and adapt to the changing work patterns. It is needed to be aware and develop their knowledge in a wide range, modern, deep and specialized fields in order to apply and use knowledge to make a precise decision. Self-development to be a potential worker in terms of knowledge, ability, thinking and analytical skills, as well as the development of skills related to life in various fields including moral and ethics development using the four principles of Bhavana. Bhavana which includes Kaya-bhavana, Sila-bhavana, Citta-bhavana, and Panna-bhavana, appeared in Buddhist doctrine concerning self-development, is used as a guidance in order to develop physical and mental simultaneously. Individuals who develop themselves consistently are knowledgeable, talented, capable and efficient, accepted by the society and able to live in a society happily. Then, they can solve their own problems and organization problems efficiently among the economic, social, and political changes.
