STRATEGIES FOR USING LANGUAGE IN ESSAY “THE WIND AND THE HORIZON” OF “PIBULSAK LAKONPOL”

Abstract

This research aims to study strategies for using languagein essay "The wind and the horizon"
of “Pibulsak Lakonpol” which studies strategies for using language in essay. Include: Dialect, Word
formation, The use of phraseology and The use of stylistic by presenting in an analytical descriptive
format. From This research strategies for using language in essay "The wind and the horizon" of
“Pibulsak Lakonpol”.The researcher studied strategies for using language data collection in
composition, language usage about The wind and The horizon. The results were as follows:
1. Local dialects, 70 words of Northern language were found.
2. Word formation, Found Word formation in 6 characteristics which are Pledge, Compound
word, Compound word, A repeating word, Junction and Double words. A total of 448 word
formation. As follows, Compound word amount 175 places. A repeating word amount 153 places.
Compound word amount 44 places. Double words amount 40 places. Pledge amount 29 places.
Junction amount 7 places.
3. Use of idiomatic expressions There are 5 usage of rhetoric, including 38 usage of rhetoric
: found 11 places of Stylistic rhetoric, 10 sermons rhetoric, 9 places of Describe rhetoric, 7 places
of Figurative rhetoric and 1 place of Eloquence rhetoric.
4. The usage of stylistic image found in the total of 7 stylistic pictures : amount 13 places
of Metonymy, 11 places of Personification, 9 place of Onomatopoeia, 5 place of Simile, 5 places of
Hyperbole Paradox, 4 places of Paradox and 3 places of Metaphor
