Buddhadhamma application for Increasing the Effectiveness of Local administration officers in Huai Yab Sub-District In Ban Thi district in Lamphun province

Abstract

This research article aims to 1) to study the level of public opinion towards 
the performance of local leaders in Huai Yap Sub-district, Ban Thi District, Lamphun 
Province; Classified by individual factors 3) To present a guideline for applying Buddhist 
principles to increase the effectiveness of local leaders in Huai Yap Subdistrict, Ban Thi 
District, Lamphun Province, Mixed Methods Research was used by quantitative research 
methods. There was a defined sample of 378 people. Data were collected by using a 
questionnaire. and qualitative research Data were collected by interviewing 10 key 
informants or people. 

The results showed that 

1. The level of people's opinions towards the effectiveness of the 
performance of local leaders at Ban Huay Yap Sub-district, Ban Thi District, Lamphun 
Province, as a whole, was at a high level (x̅= 4.28, S.D. = 0.35). 
2. The results of the comparison of public opinions on the effectiveness of 
local leaders in Ban Huai Yap Sub-district, Ban Thi District, Lamphun Province in the 
overall picture classified by sex, age, status, education level, occupation and income 
were not different in all aspects. Therefore, the research hypothesis was rejected. 
3. Guidelines for applying Buddhist principles to increase the effectiveness 
of local leaders in Huai Yap Subdistrict, Ban Thi District, Lamphun Province, it was found 
that truthfulness is honesty that creates credibility in community work in all aspects. 
Thma is a practice of adaptation that helps local leaders to achieve continuous self improvement. Khanti is patience that helps reduce the risk of conflict and resistance. 
Jaka is a sacrifice that helps to help each other and lead to unity in the community.
