Promotion of People's Participation in The Preparation of Community development Plans According to Buddhist Principles. Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality Ban Hong district. Lamphun province

Abstract

This research aims to 1) to study the level of participation in community 
development plan preparation of Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality Ban Hong District. 
Lamphun Province. Classified by personal factors 3) To present guidelines for participation 
in the preparation of community development plans of Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality 
according to Buddhist principles. A sample of 372 people. Qualitative research by in-depth 
interviews with 10 key informants or people. 

The results showed that 

1. The level of opinions about participation in the preparation of the community 
development plan of Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality according to Buddhist principles. Ban 
Hong District. Lamphun Province. the overall level was moderate (x̅ = 3.38. S.D. = 0.664). 

2. The comparison of the level of participation in the preparation of the 
community development plan of Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality according to Buddhist 
principles. Overall classified by sex. age. education level and occupation were not different. 
Therefore. the research hypothesis was rejected. As for the personal factors on income. 
they were different. so the research hypothesis was accepted. 

3. Guidelines for promoting participation in the preparation of community 
development plans of Sri Tia Subdistrict Municipality according to Buddhist principles 
found that access to various exchanges Explanation before the meeting clearly for mutual 
recognition. Establishing community agreements and supervising measures respect for each 
person's role non-discrimination. non-discrimination. co-operation Cultivating the 
importance of Buddhist places in the community to help protect them from damage. 
Applying the learned Buddhist principles in daily life for benefit
