ความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุระหว่างจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวจากต่างประเทศ การลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศ และการขยายตัวของเศรษฐกิจไทย

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทราบความสัมพันธ์เชิงกำหนดระหว่างผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศเบื้องต้น การลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศ และจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติที่เดินทางเข้ามายังประเทศไทย โดยใช้ข้อมูลอนุกรมเวลา นับจากปี 2548-2558 ในลักษณะข้อมูลรายไตรมาส รวม 44 ไตรมาส ทำการวิเคราะห์ด้วยแนวคิดการทดสอบเชิงเหตุผล (Causality test) ตามหลักการของ Toda and Yamamoto (1995) ผลการทดสอบพบว่า มีเพียงจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวเท่านั้น ที่มีลักษณะเป็นสาเหตุของผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศ ดังนั้นรัฐบาลควรพัฒนาและปรับปรุงองค์ประกอบทางภาคการผลิตในประเทศ และให้ความสำคัญกับภาคการท่องเที่ยวในอนาคต
